Paint, Parking and Upgrades

You may have noticed that things are looking brighter, fresher in our halls at St. John’s. It’s not your imagination - we’re getting a facelift! The vestry has approved the following highlights:

  • Paint and plaster repair for all hallways, stairways, most classrooms and meeting rooms. This is currently in progress.

  • Removing carpeting from upstairs hallways followed by floor refinishing.

  • Parking lot renovation for the existing lot while incorporating the lot that St. Elizabeth’s House occupied. This is currently in the hands of an architect.

  • Removal of several and trimming of many trees and shrubs that surround the church.

If you see Mary Jo Thompson, our in-house interior designer, please thank her for her hours of consultation and color selection.

In addition, please thank our own, Robin O’Brien, for her years of keeping our bulletin boards decorated. She’ll be delighted to know that we are replacing them with some updated, more streamlined versions of messaging!
