Warming Stations

The City of Charleston will open warming centers in town to give our unhoused friends a safe, clean place to come out of the brutal cold this winter. Parishioner and city councilwoman, Chelsea Steelhammer, will speak to us at noon on Sunday, July 16, immediately after coffee hour to tell us about how we at St. John’s can help with this effort. The city is not asking St. John’s to be a warming center, but do want to know if they can count on support from the downtown community. Please try to attend this meeting and show the city that St. John’s cares. Contact Donna Hamra if you have any questions regarding this meeting through the Church Office.
