Holy Water Fonts
I am beyond elated and grateful for the gift of three holy water fonts given by our Altar Guild and Senior Warden, Diane Hendricks, this Easter! Holy Baptism is the foundational sacrament that underlies all we do and who we are as followers of the Risen Christ.

J2A Shirts
We found a box of J2A t-shirts and are offering them for a donation during coffee hour on Sundays in April. Proceeds go to our J2A group, which is being incubated as our youth grow up and are ready to be part of the J2A experience.

YWCA Race to End Racism
The YWCA’s Race to End Racism is Saturday, April 26, at 9:00 a.m. at Magic Island. For the first time, St. John’s will officially have a team!

What’s Going On in the Kitchen?
If you haven’t yet, peek in the door of the kitchen and see the new lemon-colored walls awaiting new appliances and counters. The Vestry has approved the purchase of a shiny new stove and hood, a new icemaker and new stainless steel counters to name a few. New coffee and ice-tea services in addition to a new water dispenser have been included.

We are proud to announce the re-opening of our infant/toddler nursery on the second floor.

When I arrived in 1973, we had a weekly newsletter, “St. John’s Herald,” edited by Virginia Adams, who also administered the church office and served as mentor and confidant to clergy.


Vestry Covenant
During our retreat in February, the Vestry developed a Covenant to guide our work together. In addition to sharing it with you here, it will be framed and hung in the hallway leading to the nave and in the administrative area.


Meet Bianca Prince, Parish Administrator
Bianca was born and raised in West Virginia, and is a graduate of West Virginia State University and Clarion University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in English and a graduate degree in Library & Information Science. She says, “ I am excited that I will be able to use my passion and skills to serve this congregation, the community, and God.” We’re glad you’re here, Bianca!
