Reverend Stock completed a 5-year study program through the West Virginia Episcopal Diocese School of Religion and was inducted into the Order of Jerusalem, received a BA Degree at West Virginia University and earned a Master in Divinity Degree from Virginia Theological Seminary. He was ordained an Episcopal Priest in 1981 and later ordained into the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC) in 1991. He served as Pastor of the MCC Church of the Disciples for 21 years and served on the faculty of Samaritan Institute of Religious Studies for 10 years where he taught “Homosexuality and the Bible” and “Introduction to Sexuality Studies.” He is the founder and president of Scrolls Revealed Ministries and has traveled to retreats, colleges, churches and conferences, facilitating the seminar “Biblical Translation for Gay Liberation: How the Bible Does Not Condemn Homosexuality. An In-Depth Study” in California, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Texas, Delaware, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Connecticut and Washington, DC. He presently serves as Parish Partner at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC and lives in Waldorf, Maryland with his partner Mark of 45 years.
