Position Statement on the Middle East Crisis

The vestry of St. John's Episcopal Church calls upon both Israel and Hamas to end all violence between them, in the form of an immediate cease-fire as well as plans to resume long-term peace talks; for the release of all remaining hostages by Hamas; for the restored access of international aid to Gaza to address immediate hunger, medical, and shelter crises; and for planning for the rebuilding of the infrastructure, homes, and businesses of Gaza so that residents may return.
