Join The St. Ambrose Choir

Church singers and musicians of Charleston, WV and surrounding areas, St. Johns Episcopal Church is looking to add members to our choir (St. Ambrose Choir). The St. Ambrose Choir has a rich history in the Charleston area, and is located in the National Historic Registered Site of St. Johns Episcopal Church which houses an amazing Skinner Organ (last remaining one in Charleston). Our typical music selections require singing in SATB (four part) settings. Music much like you would hear in cathedral churches in Europe.

Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings 6:30 to 8 PM (starting back on Sept. 7), on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM (after Sept. 7). Service starts at 10:30 AM.

St. Johns is a very open and welcoming church for anyone and everyone. If interested, then please contact me through the Church Office or feel welcome to attend on of our morning services. Anyone is welcome to join us on our first Thursday night rehearsal back from summer break on Thursday September 7th. The choir is filled with very talented and lovely people.

We will be also needing instrumentalists at various times through the year, so please contact me through the Church office with your information if you wish to get involved as an instrumentalist. We do pay our instrumentalists.
