St. John’s is Blooming

We may be on the threshold of Advent with colder temperatures for the next several months but the energy of new and renewed ministries at St. John’s reminds me more of spring!

One of the most important ministries of our church is also one that is most likely to be the most critiqued, keeping some otherwise eligible and talented parishioners from offering to serve. I’m talking about the Vestry.

This hesitation to serve on Vestry is understandable, given some of the challenges Vestries have been met with with in the last decade. The Vestry makes hard decisions which impact the future of our church. When the church is struggling you will see fewer parishioners volunteering to serve on Vestry. There is a fear that if things aren’t going well they will be held responsible.

Welcome to 2025 and a selection of nominees that reflect a healthier St. John’s with Eric at the helm. We are a church with renewed energy, one with members eager to join and even begin new ministries. Watch us grow!

Thank you to all of our nominees that offer up their talents to serve on Vestry for the next three years and our delegate nominees who will represent St. John’s at the 2025 diocesan convention. It is truly a good sign!
