Outreach Update - July/August 2024

St. John’s Outreach Ministry prepared and shared a wonderful summer meal with our neighbors at the Samaritan Inn on Tuesday, June 18. Our Outreach Ministry has been partnering with the Religious Coalition for Community Renewal (RCCR) and the Samaritan Inn since April, 2023 and has provided meals as well as assistance with the annual Beans and Cornbread Dinner fundraiser for RCCR.

The Samaritan Inn is a residential recovery program of RCCR with supportive services for up to 12 homeless adult men at a time. Men may stay for up to 18 months.  Samaritan Inn has helped over 800 men transition from homelessness to independent living.  The Samaritan Inn provides a safe environment to recover from homelessness and addiction, offers services that permanently change the lives of men who have been homeless, and graduates men who are counted among the productive and independent citizens of our community.

If you would like to be a part of the Outreach Ministry, our next meeting will be Sunday, July 21 at 12:00 noon.  All are welcome!
