education for adults

  • Rose WindowEducation for the Ministry (EFM) is an in-depth study of Bible and theology which meets weekly throughout the year. The program is designed to help lay persons grow in their understanding of their ministry and to reflect on how God is present in their lives. Two groups are offered at St. John’s -- Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $325. The Thursday class will take new members in January.
  • The Inquirer’s Class, led by our clergy, explores issues surrounding what Episcopalians believe and the sustenance of a Christian faith that makes sense in our chaotic world. This class convenes as needed to incorporate new members into our church.
  • Spirituality groups,  small group meetings designed to help participants grow in faith and prayer, are scheduled to meet at various times during the week. A book with daily study provides the substance of the group's discussion. New participants can also enroll in January
  • Women in Faith, Fun, and Fellowship is a women’s luncheon group that meets monthly on the second Thursday. A short program is offered. Participants attend as they are able. Call to make reservations each month that you can attend. A fee is charged for lunches provided.
  • Men’s Breakfast meets at 7:30 AM on the first Wednesday of each month at First Watch.
